Happy Birthday and Happy Easter!

We were so fortunate this Easter to not only celebrate the ressurection of the Savior, but also Nathan's birthday. We had a party on Saturday where we broke a pinata had cake and opened presents. Later we had our traditional Suarez family Easter egg hunt. We are so thankful to have such a beautiful and wonderful boy in our family. Nathan is three years old. I can not believe how the time has flown.
I am also including some pictures of the field trip to the fire station. Nick's preschool went to a local fire station. Nick had to wear his I want to be a fireman t-shirt that day and also his firetruck underwear. He was prepared for the field trip. He showed his t-shirt to the fireman, but thankfully didn't show his underwear.
We all have spring fever, and any days that are warm enough we are out playing in the yard or in my case working. Unfortunately, we have had many more days of winter than spring. Utah is famous for the snow in April, but come on...
Kevin is growing fast. He is already nearly 13 pounds, above average weight for his age. We have been to the dermatologist about his birthmark. Thankfully, it is very unlikely to develop a tumor, which is the opposite of what we were told in the beginning. We will be consulting with a plastic surgeon very soon to see what we will need to do to have it removed and what will be involved. After the consultation with the surgeon we will make a final decision as to what we will do.
Porfirio and I are doing great. We are just trying to keep up with the day to day. Hopefully Kevin will begin to sleep through the night soon. Cross your fingers.

Just a quick note

I know that it has been a while since I last posted. I can't really say that much has changed though. We are still trying to adjust to having an additional member of the family. The days fly by in pretty much a blur as well as the nights. Kevin is growing very well. He is fitting nicely into the three month clothes now. He has gotten longer and by sheer determination I am attempting to put some baby fat on him. Kevin seems to be following many of the patterns that Nick did. He is also starting to show that he has a strong personality and is demanding attention now. So do kids come without strong personalities anymore? I am thankful they are strong as this world they come to has no sympathy for weakness.

Nick and Nate are doing well. Nathan's birthday is on Easter this year. We are going to have a Easter party for his birthday of course. Nathan is a typical three year old, who is definitely ASSERTING his independence of late. I just wish that independence would be a little stronger during the three o'clock hour of the morning. I am sure that someday I will look back on these days with fondness, if I can remember them.

Porfirio and I are very busy trying to manage the day to day routine. I am trying to keep the house running and Porfirio is trying to provide the means to keep the house running. Not an easy task these days. Well I want to congratulate Stacy on her new arrival and look forward to Ra's. We're thankful to have Aubrey home and hope that everyone else is doing well. We love you.

Sleep Deprived

I am sorry that it has been so long since I posted. I am just trying to muddle my way through the long nights and even longer days. I am hormonoly messed up and I am once again reminded why sleep deprivation is a form of torture. Of course, add in the body trying to recover with those after birth pains and I am one happy mama.
Kevin is adorable but some day soon, I will forget these days. We are pretty much just trying to make the adjustment to having a baby in the house. Every other day is filled with a trip to the pediatrician. Kevin had to be on a billibed the first four days home. He has to return to the hospital for a hearing test tomorrow and he already has an appointment with the dermatologist up at primary children's. Kevin has a "worrisome" birthmark that needs to be checked out. Other than that, we have been housebound due to the rsv virus that is so serious for infants. We have been advised to limit the baby's exposure to the outside world until the end of March. I think if I were more coherent and alert, I might protest. But right now, I am thankful for the excuse to stay home and take a nap.
I will try to post some more pictures soon. Love Janae

OUR NEW SON!

He is finally here. Kevin Conner Suarez arrived Monday at 11:12 a.m., after a very normal but painful delivery.
He weighed 8 lbs. and is 21.5 in. long. He is very healthy and was quite angry to have been disturbed to enter the world. Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Valentines Day

We need to celebrate Valentines Day a little early, because I am not going to be able to do much next week.
So this week, my boys and I made some heart sugar cookies. I make these kind of cookies maybe a couple of times a year. They were very cute as we cut out the cookies, but my favorite part was as they "frosted" the cookies. They sure enjoyed it. I am sure happy to have such cute boys in my life. I am always cleaning up after them, but I sure love them.
Today, is my wedding anniversary. Obviously we aren't going to celebrate too much with me being so pregnant. Plus, like everyone else we need to tighten our belt in this economy. But, I would be very amiss if I didn't stop to let my husband how thankful I am to have him in my life. The time that we have been married has been the best and the worst years of my life. I wouldn't trade these years however. I am so grateful to have found a friend, such a hardworker, and priesthood holder to share my life with. Porfirio, during the hard times I will be with you and there to support you. I love you!
Monday is upon us and we are going to add another member to our family. I am excited and a bit nervous too.
We are waiting to see what this baby looks like to decide a name for sure. But I know that this guy is supposed to join our family. Of this I have no doubt. I hope that I can be a good mother to him as well as my other boys. We will post pictures here on the blog as soon as possible on Monday or Tuesday. Pray for us.
Love Janae
